The Defence Research and Development Organisation, DRDO has recently notified the DRDO Scholarship 2020 Scheme for Girls through Aeronautics Research and Development Board, AR&DB. The scheme is especially for female engineering students in the country. The students can check the eligibility details, the scholarship details, and how to apply shown in brief steps below.

DRDO Scholarship 2020: Important Date

The registration process would begin on July 19, 2020, and therefore the last date to use is going to be September 30, 2020.

Scholarship Amount

DRDO has announced worth more than 42 lakh rupees

• Post-graduation students will get Rs. 1,86,000 /- Or Rs. 15,500 per months
  • Total 10 students are selected in post-graduation
• Under graduation, students will get Rs. 1,20,000 /- Or Annual fee whichever is less.
  • Total 20 Students are selected in undergraduate

DRDO Scholarship 2020: Selection Criteria

• First-year Undergraduates in B.E./B.Tech./BSc. Engineering courses scholarship will be based on the merit of JEE Main. Candidates without valid JEE (Main) score won’t be considered.
• First-year Postgraduate (M.E./M.Tech./M.Sc. Engg.) scholarship (for 2-year full-time course) will be based on the valid GATE score on merit basis. The candidates without a legitimate GATE score won’t be considered.

DRDO Scholarship 2020: Eligibility Details

• For graduate Scholarship:
  • Candidate must be an Indian National.
    
  • Candidate should have gotten admission within the 1st year of the present school year 2020-21, to the relevant B.E./ B. Tech./B.Sc Engg course.
    
  • Candidate should have cleared JEE Main and should have a valid score in that.

• For postgraduate scholarship
  • Candidate should have secured admission in the 1st year of the current academic year 2020-21 to the relevant ME, M.TECH, or M.Sc Engg course.
    
  • Candidate must have scored a minimum of 60% marks in the qualifying exam for admission to the subject course as per the guidelines set by AICTE or MHRD. In cases where the conversion formula is not obtainable, CGPA/CPI of 6.75 will be taken as equivalent to 60%, as per AICTE guidelines.
    
  • Candidate should have a valid GATE score
